Point Loma Real Estate
Point Loma is ruggedly beautiful with tide pools, parks, and gorgeous cliffs offering perfect vantage points for watching the sunset. One spot for sweeping views is the Cabrillo National Monument honoring Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo, the first European to set foot in California. We also like Sunset Cliffs Natural Park for its carved arches and sea caves. Instead of sandy beaches, Point Loma is known for its tide pools. At low tide, you can scramble through rocky reefs to discover all kinds of sea life.
Liberty Station, a former Naval Training Center, is a cool waterfront village with restaurants, shops, art installations, and entertainment venues. One of our favorite spots to eat at Liberty Station is Breakfast Republic. You can't go wrong with their French Toast and Bloody Mary's. Nearby Shelter and Harbor Islands offer waterfront parks, walking paths and relaxing views. Shelter Island is the spot for Humphreys Concerts By The Bay, an outdoor theater featuring live music during the spring and summer months. It's the perfect place for a fun date night.
Point Loma offers easy access to all that San Diego has to offer. Under 20 minutes, you can be in downtown San Diego for some shopping or nightlife, or headed up the coast to Pacific Beach or La Jolla. Hiking through Joshua Tree National Park is about 3 hours away. In under an hour, you can cross the border into Tijuana. Sea World is right in Point Loma's back yard and the famous San Diego Zoo is only 20 minutes away. The nearest airport to Point Loma is the San Diego International Airport.
